Has this ever happened to you? You have this amazing outfit on but you can’t quite decide on what shoes to wear! You’re torn between two choices, do you pick the most comfortable not so stylish shoes that you’ll have to crop out in your photos but will still come in handy because you’re a wild dancer? Or do you wear the sleek chic ones you can’t wait to take photos in, but are insanely uncomfortable  and your feet will be killing you by the end of the day/night?

We often end up wearing the uncomfortable classy shoes that get us slaying for a few hours then the aftermath of agony, discomfort and soreness, However, there’s a solution to this. Here are some amazing lifesaving tips on what to consider when buying shoes that will be both comfortable and trendy.

If trainers aren’t the greatest shoe invention I don’t know what is. They are insanely comfortable, good for walking, those outdoor weekend plots with your friends or if you’re looking to start working out you need the right shoes; trainers. You can check out the link below on the ultimate work out plan for beginners and get to know what other things you need to do to kick off on your workout

Despite this, they add a cool vibe to your outfit. They can make a simple outfit look chic. Here are some of the pairs you can add to your wardrobe:

Adidas ultraboost

Nike Presto

Black Nike Presto

Adidas NMD

Grey Adidas NMD

Nike Huarache

Pink Nike Huarache

yellow hightop Chuck Taylor’s

You can never go wrong with these two. They never go out of style, there’s a sense of sophistication in their simple design and a good choice .If you’re going for that 90’s retro look, mum jeans and what not. They are both comfortable, affordable and their diversity in colours and design is just a big plus.

The Converse one star are BACK! Popular kicks in the seventies but fashion repeats itself . The design is different compared to the common converse all star but it still looks sleek. If you come across a  neon- coloured pair don’t think twice, get it.

Walking in heels can be tasking, I know the struggle especially if you’re not used to them . I always wonder how artists dance in six-inch heels but I’m sure they started somewhere. Comfortable high-heeled shoes sounds ironic but there are some that actually are, of course not as comfortable as sneakers  but they are manageable.

orange wedges

orange wedges

If you’ re not used to heels wedges are a good start. The thick sole gives you balance and you gradually gain confidence to rock those sky scrapper nude stilettos you’ve been eyeing. Block heels are a current trend they also have a thick sole which provides comfort.

Block heels

Colour can glamourise an outfit. You can play around with nude or  bold colours. The design of the heel is also a thing to consider when shopping for heels; the curved heel is more comfortable than the straight one. The heel curves in making the placement of the heel sole near the ball of your foot the shoe becomes more comfortable. You can slowly build up your comfort height by trying on different heel lengths and discover which height is most comfortable for you.

pink strappy heel

Get yourself a pair of head turning heels that will stop people dead in their tracks. You can get them at Star Mall shop B8 along Tom Mboya Street.

Black knee-high boots

Dr Marten’s

Boots come in different designs from the knee-high to ankle boots, chukka, Moto boots, Dr Marten’s these are some of the common ones that are easy to get.

Investing in a pair of edgy boots is a really good idea. They come in handy during the cold season plus

Chelsea boots

they give you that Voguish look. You can decide on which design you want to wear depending on how you define your fashion sense.

I’m a big fan of Chelsea boots . They are so comfortable to walk in and you can wear them with almost everything ;that official or casual look.

You can get these shoes at TOY MARKET along Ngong road at affordable prices or at any other shoe store you prefer.

Embrace comfort in your style, comfort builds confidence. Love yourself , chase happiness and do not hesitate to try on new things because fashion is all about discovery.

This reminds me I still need to invest in a good pair of trainers. Navigating the New York City subway calls for a comfortable pair but a trendy one at that as well.

I love a woman in heels. Those pink cotton ball heels are really pretty. I’m also a big fan of the Nike Huarache sneakers. And the old school Chuck Taylors.

It happens to me everytime. I’m not quite a shopper when it comes to clothes but when I buy something it’s true that I don’t think about the shoes that I must wear or I have the shoes to pair to it. That makes a lot of sense. I guess I have to be more prudent when it comes to choosing my wardrobe making sure that I have the best shoes to pair them.
